Incredible, we did it! It was an impossible challenge, but we made it.
Thanks to each and every one of you, for your shares, your energy, and your donations!
Your humanity triumphed over everything! The love you showed for Noah, despite most of you not knowing him, moved mountains.
Noah will be able to undergo surgery in New York on July 7, 2021.
After the shock, it's time to prepare for departure.
We need to pack our bags, but we don't have any suitcases!
We buy what we need, pack our bags, as best we can because there are seven of us.
The last weekend before the big day, our friends and family are with us to share this important moment. Laughter, tears, and anxiety that grips everyone without exception.
We are leaving in two stages, mom and the three boys first on June 20, 2021. Dad and the two girls will follow 10 days later.
Ten days go by quickly... or so we think.
June 20, 2021, is the big day, everything is ready! We take the suitcases downstairs to head to the airport, and Noah’s best friend is there!
The goodbyes are heartbreaking.
The flight goes very well, and the Air France staff, aware of the reasons for our trip, take great care of us. Landing, customs, collecting our suitcases, and taking a taxi to a house that has been so kindly lent to us. Maude is waiting for us there; she is so kind. She gives us a little tour.
The house is huge, the neighborhood beautiful, but we are exhausted, and the 6-hour time difference will take its toll for a few days.
